July 16th - Tomorrow at 15:00 UTC, the .ME registry will start its Open Registration period, during which domain names will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on www.eurodns.com.

During the General Registration (Go Live!), the registry awards the .ME domain name to the first person who submits the domain. The applications made before the 17th July have been queued and will only be taken into account on the first day of the Go Live.

The registry notes that, “in preparation, we will be completely closed from July 16th at 17:00 UTC until Open Registration begins on July 17 at 15:00 UTC. During that closed period we will not be available via EPP or Web Admin Tool; the WHOIS will remain online throughout. Firewall change requests will not be accepted until July 18 at 15:00 UTC, and will then require the standard 1-2 business days for processing”.

Luxembourg, July 4th - Xavier Buck, EuroDNS’ co-founder and CEO, has been chosen as the Creative Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Luxembourg, by a jury of well known and high profile personalities from the Luxembourgish scene.

At the end of a lengthy competition, Xavier ultimately won against 2 other strong entrepreneurs, Emmanuel Vivier from Vanksen Group and Sylvain Zimmer from Jamendo. “The decision was a difficult one” comments Pedro Castilho, CYEL Project Manager. Twenty three candidates applied this year with very creative projects and interesting ideas". Criteria used to pick the winner were the company’s posiition in the market, degree of creativity, financial growth and job creations, among others

J+7 - The Domainer Meeting that was held at the heart of Paris on the 19th and 20th June, was a great success and achieved all expectations with more than 300 attendees and some high profile speakers and sponsors from the Domain Industry. This could not have happened without the presence, support and commitment of all sponsors, partners, speakers and attendees.

The event was all about learning, networking and fun and gave people the opportunity to communicate about current issues in the Domain Industry and to raise common understanding.
